This is the time of year where we spread the joy of being in this great world we live in. We show appreciation of what we have, what we have accomplished, and the families we have. This past Thanksgiving is one of them. Then, comes the additional holidays of which you choose to celebrate.

Looking ahead to the holidays, it’s all about families and everything else. Many of you are fortunate to have young families of your own, and have the job security you have to make a great living. November Sunset at Shilshole Bay Marina

Seattle.  Ballard.  Shilshole Bay.  The marina at sunset.  Welcome to one of the still, luminous moments to be experienced here in the Pacific Northwest.

Next to Puget Sound, in the old Ballard neighborhood, lies Golden Gardens Park and Shilshole Bay Marina.  These days Ballard is one of the cool Seattle destinations, and locals treasure the restaurants and shopping on Market St NW and Ballard Ave.  But then there’s Sunset Hill, the neighborhood just over Golden Gardens Park on the bluff.  Stairs down from 34th Ave will take neighborhood walkers down steep flights to the Sound, or you can drive down.  Or if you go down Market St past the Ballard Locks, you can drive along the Marina north (past two great eating spots, Ray’s Boathouse and Anthony’s) till you get to the park and the beach at Golden Gardens.  Either way the views of the sunset are quietly breathtaking.

Improved Unemployment Rate Greenville SC

Greenville Unemployment Rate Takes A Massive Drop

THE GOOD NEWS:

The news was just released today.  Greenville South Carolina’s unemployment rate drops to 8 %.   This is a drop of 1.1% since September and a full percentage below the national average.  Yes, things are looking good for Greenville South Carolina.   We seem to have more new job announcements every week.

That’s the key to fixing the economy and Greenville has taken that seriously.  A major announcement from TD Bank last week was the icing on the cake as they announced 1,400 new jobs coming to Greenville.

THE BAD NEWS:

Regardless of what is going on around the rest of the country, Greenville South Carolina may just be experiencing the end of the recession.  Bad news for those that like the doom and gloom – great news for everyone else!

Is now the time to invest in Greenville - you bet it is.  Housing has stabalized and will soon be back appreciating.  Now is the best time to purchase your new home.

Greenville SC Continues to Buck National Economic Trends

On October 31st  the Greenville Area Development Corp. (GADC) made its 17th announcement of the year.  Scio Diamond Technology Corp is establishing its headquarters and manufacturing operations in Greenville.  This announcement continues to reinforce what those of us who live here already know.  Greenville South Carolina continues to buck national economic trends with $200 million dollars in new capital investment and 2,000 new jobs in 2011.
